Elephant

I was recently discussing with a friend and we both agreed that despite their size, elephants are very graceful in the way they move. When they are focussed, they are also extremely purposeful and seem to have a clear sense of direction; lessons for us all I’m sure.

I was lucky enough to see many elephants up close whilst in a recent trip to Kenya with @globalangelsfoundation and our team of volunteers from @robertwalterslife . I was certainly inspired for this painting and have so many fond memories of the life-changing experience.

This oil painting on wood is my interpretation of the impact we are having on this endangered species.  The gaps and drips in the image of the animals depict the fact that we are slowly eroding the environment and the wildlife within it. I hope that my wildlife collection will provide some conversation and publicity around endangered animals.
