I have always been fascinated with both industrial architecture and also natural landscapes.
The juxtaposition of the beautiful sandy beaches at Sandymount with the industrial backdrop of the new incinerator, the old ‘Pigeon House’ Chimneys and the cranes of Dublin Port inspired me to combine the two in this painting.
