The Four Courts is Ireland's main courts building, located on Inns Quay in Dublin. The building originally housed the four courts of Chancery, King's Bench, Exchequer and Common Pleas, which is where the building got its the name. It is now the location of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the Dublin Circuit Court. Until 2010 the building also housed the Central Criminal Court; this is now located in the Criminal Courts of Justice.

This original oil painting depicts the Four Courts from the South side of the River Liffey.  The painting is abstract in nature and was one of Steve Bradbury's earlier experiments with combining abstract art with an element of realism.
